Fees, Referred Services and Costs

Our medical clinic is a private billing practice and fees are payable at the time of consultation. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders and children under 16 are bulk billed weekdays.

Patients who hold a current DVA (Department of Veterans Affairs Card) are billed to DVA in accordance with the health service as pre-approved (will vary based on health conditions/card colour).

Medicare, Concession and DVA cards with a valid date must be presented on arrival at reception on each occasion.

The clinic offers Medicare Ezyclaim: for eligible services your Medicare Rebate is paid back to your DEBIT CARD immediately after you have paid your account at the clinic.

Procedures at the clinic may also attract an out of pocket fee, please discuss this prior to the procedure being booked.

Referred Services: On some occasions, patients will be required to be referred for further investigative services.  These services could attract an out-of-pocket cost and the service may not be covered by a Medicare Rebate.  Patients may be required to pay a gap payment or a private fee.

If patients require the exact information about the cost of these services, staff can contact the service provider to obtain the information on behalf of the patient.  Alternatively, staff can provide the contact details to the patient to discuss with the service provider directly.

Non-Medicare Rebatable Services:  On occasions services will not attract a Medicare rebate and the patient will be required to pay privately at the time of consultation.  This may include:

  • Newborn babies who have not yet registered with Medicare

  • Employment medicals

  • Consultations/treatment in relation to employment that do not have an accepted claim (insurer claim number must be provided)

  • Travel vaccines/immunisations

  • Patients who are self insured (not registered with Medicare)

  • International students or visa holders that are not covered by medicare.

We require 4 hours cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival otherwise a cancellation fee will apply
