Childs Road Medical Clinic recommends:
If you are sick with a fever or respiratory symptoms PLEASE LET THE RECEPTIONISTS KNOW WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT. When you book for ANY appointment our receptionists will ask if you have any of those symptoms. We are not trying to invade the privacy of medical appointments - the information is only used to aid in infection control and to ensure that appropriate advice is given.
We are still mostly seeing patients for medical needs not related to COVID-19. Please limit the number of family and friends coming with each patient for their appointments to decrease the number of people in the waiting room.
As part of infection control we have taken books and magazines from the waiting room. Please bring something (book, quite toy or electronic device) to entertain your younger patients (and yourself).
You may be asked to wait in your car with a mobile phone before entering the clinic. Please follow the instructions you are given by our receptionists and doctors before entering the clinic.
We are experiencing an unprecedented volume of phone calls currently, please be advised there may be a delay in returning your phone calls.
Please note that depending on the nature of the medical matter discussed as a phone consultation, a physical appointment at the clinic at a later date may be required.
As of 1st of April 2021, phone consultations will incur an out of pocket fee. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders and children under 16 years of age will still be bulk billed.
